Our story
Ashburton Powder Coating & Sand Blasting was founded in 1999 by Max Cawte, who built a trusted name in the region for high-quality metal finishing and customer care.
In 2025, with Max stepping into retirement, ownership passed to Luke and Natasha Fowler, long-time business owners and operators of Bus and Truck Bodyworks, located just across the road. With their hands-on experience and reputation for excellence, Luke and Natasha continue Ashburton Powder Coating’s legacy while bringing fresh energy to the business.

Neil, a well known face around Ashburton, leads the charge at Ashburton Powder Coating. He’s your go-to for all quotes, job bookings and general enquiries. With a sharp eye for detail and a customer-first approach, Neil ensures every job runs smoothly from start to finish.

Sheldon – Foreman
Sheldon has been a team member at Ashburton Powder Coating for 22 years and we’re proud to have him step up to the role of Foreman. Sheldon oversees the workshop and ensures every project meets our high standards. With years of experience and a deep knowledge of metal finishing, he’s a key part of our quality promise.
